Alexandra Scott

Alexandra Scott MSN, APNP, PMHNP-BC is a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and is passionate about providing each client with quality, compassionate, and comprehensive health services. She believes that an individualized approach is paramount to effective mental health treatment. Using a combination of psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and neurobiology, she partners with each client to address their individual mental health needs and pursue their treatment goals.

Talking about mental health can be challenging, which is why she strives to create a safe environment for all her clients. She provides treatment for those with ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, insomnia, OCD, panic disorders, post-partum depression, and more. She provides brief psychotherapy rooted in motivational interviewing and mindfulness in addition to evidence-based medication management. All treatment decisions will be a collaborative effort between the client and Alex to fit each client’s needs.

After working in a variety of nursing settings, Alex was able to see the ways that mental health care was overlooked. She was inspired to further her education in mental health nursing to help bridge this gap. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater with a bachelor’s degree, she went on to receive her master’s in nursing from Marquette University and her post-master’s certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Maryville University. Her experience in inpatient and outpatient settings has provided her with knowledge and experience that she looks forward to bringing to each client.

When she is not working with her clients Alex enjoys being outside, spending time with her family and dogs, and staying active.
