Joseph Melvin, PA-C, joins our Janesville office this year - bringing a patient-centered approach to family medicine. He is committed to educating and empowering patients to take an active role in their own health through thorough discussions and personalized care plans. Joseph emphasizes holistic approaches whenever appropriate, integrating lifestyle and preventative strategies alongside evidence-based medical management. He has a particular interest in family medicine, cardiovascular health, and behavioral health - and provides comprehensive services including wellness exams, sports and employment physicals, routine blood work, and age-appropriate preventative care. He is also skilled in administering immunizations such as TB skin tests, influenza, and Tdap vaccines, as well as providing urgent care services including laceration repair and cryotherapy.
Joseph completed his undergraduate studies at East Carolina University in North Carolina, then worked as a Paramedic for four years before earning his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. He chose Wisconsin as ‘home’ for its welcoming environment and strong community values.
Outside of medicine, Joseph enjoys composing music as a pianist, spending quality time with his fiancé and family, caring for his Dalmatian, hiking, and exploring the outdoors. He looks forward to building relationships with his patients and providing the thoughtful, personalized care that you and your family deserve.
