Kaitlyn Kurth

Kaitlyn received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Concordia University-Wisconsin in 2014 and has been working in inpatient, outpatient, and acute care settings since her graduation. She has a strong background in orthopedics, neurologic disorders, and vestibular (dizziness/balance) rehabilitation. With a strong passion for learning and a desire to better understand the interconnections of the human body, she furthered her education with certifications in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT) and Functional Dry Needling (FDN I/II). This advanced training has provided her with a deeper understanding of biomechanics and refined her manual therapy skills, allowing her to identify and address the root of the problem more efficiently.

Kaitlyn strongly believes in taking a team approach to rehab and injury prevention. While collaboration with other healthcare providers is important, listening to each patient’s concerns and providing them with the proper tools to succeed is key. She also believes in the need to shift focus from re-active to pro-active preventative care. Changing habits or adding exercise is not always easy, but she enjoys working with patients to make lifestyle changes that will help achieve their individual goals and improve their wellbeing for years to come. “I want you to think of me not only as your Physical Therapist, but as your coach. I’ll help you identify the underlying cause of your problem and use my skills to get you moving better. I’ll teach you how to activate and strengthen your muscles properly and empower you to continue to make the changes you need in order to avoid future injury and continue participating in the activities you love.”

Over the years, Kaitlyn has developed a special interest in treating dancers, cheerleaders, and gymnasts as a result of her personal passion for these sports. During a clinical rotation in Chicago, she also had the opportunity to work with professional dancers in the Joffrey Ballet and Giordano Dance company. She enjoys using her education, 18 years of dance training, and 5 years of competitive cheerleading experience, to help keep these athletes healthy both on and off the floor.

In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She enjoys traveling, live music, dancing, fitness, movies, and participating in outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and boating. She is always up for adventure and loves to find new things to explore and experience.
