Karin Alexander has been a PA since 1999, when she graduated from Quinnipiac College's Physician Assistant Program. She spent the first eight years of her career in General Surgery in her small upstate NY hometown. She even had the opportunity to work with her father and brother, both General Surgeons.
In 2008, Karin moved to Central Asia to pursue her lifelong passion for international cross-cultural work. She loved the challenge and joy of learning the local language and culture while providing tangible care to others in the name of Jesus Christ. During her eight years in Tajikistan, Karin met and married her husband, Gary, and had two sons. Sadly, circumstances out of their control forced them to return to the United States permanently in 2016. That same year, a door opened to move to Milwaukee, WI. Now, her family are diehard Packers fans, call parking places "structures," and you may find them taking a sip out of a bubbler at American Family Field.
Karin's PA positions in Wisconsin have been in Urgent Care, Primary Care, and Occupational Health. Beginning her practice at The Doctor's Office in the fall of 2024 opened the door to Functional Medicine. A personal history of a "mystery illness" sparked a passion for helping others get to the root cause of their own issues. There are safe but largely unknown testing and treatment options for autoimmune disease, autism, migraine, brain fog, parasites, tick-borne illness, long COVID, and more.
Some of her specialties include LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone), Leucovorin, Methylene Blue, Ivermectin, gut health, food sensitivity testing, and micronutrient testing. Come and see how Karin can help you feel like yourself again.
